Overview / Challenge / Insight

Expertise isn't content until someone makes it readable.
My job was turning what EightPM knew into something people wanted to read.

Overview

EightPM had deep expertise across media, marketing, and culture. My role was turning that knowledge into editorial content people could actually understand, engage with, and use.

Challenge

Write for different formats and audiences without losing the company’s point of view, or letting complex ideas turn into corporate jargon.

approach

Find the strongest idea first, then shape it for the format: sharp perspectives for LinkedIn, deeper thinking for the blog, and curated insights for the newsletter.

02 / Strategy + Insights

The strategy was to treat EightPM’s expertise as source material, not finished content. I looked for the strongest idea inside industry conversations, research, company POVs, and cultural moments, then shaped it around what would actually be useful or interesting to the audience.

The format came second. The idea came first. From there, I adapted the story for LinkedIn, the blog, newsletter, or anywhere else depending on where it could work hardest.

ONE IDEA, MULTIPLE FORMATS

A strong insight could become a LinkedIn perspective, expand into a deeper blog story, or inform the narrative of a newsletter.

PLATFORM-NATIVE WRITING

Each piece was written for how people actually consume it, from concise, hook-driven social copy to longer-form editorial storytelling.

CONSISTENT POINT OF VIEW

Different subjects and formats, one recognizable voice: clear, informed, culturally aware, and grounded in EightPM’s expertise.

From Industry Insight

to Cultural Relevance

Thought leadership doesn’t have to sound like thought leadership. I translate complex industry ideas through the conversations, moments, and media already capturing attention, making expertise easier to understand, more relevant to the moment, and built for how people actually consume content.

This work taught me that good editorial strategy isn’t about having more to say but knowing what’s worth saying.

The biggest shift in my thinking was learning to find the strongest idea first, then decide how and where to tell it. Writing became less about filling a content calendar and more about building a point of view people could recognize and wanna return to.
